Bombay Sapphire announces hunt for Most Imaginative Cocktail

Bombay Sapphire recently announced the launch of a 6-month hunt for the Most Imaginative Cocktail in Singapore, which captures the attention and encourages the imagination of cocktail drinkers in the country. The official launch of the campaign was held on August 6, at the newly opened Canvas bar, where exclusive guests and press were introduced to details of the campaign and to imagination-infused cocktails. Taking centre stage, along with Bombay Sapphire was, Diageo World Class (Singapore) 2012 3rd runner-up, Caryn Cheah.

Guests at the event had an intimate gin appreciation session with Caryn – who is also Bombay Sapphire’s Brand Ambassador. She dished out valuable tips about drinking and enjoying gin. They also had the chance to try their hand at making the classic gin and tonic cocktail under her expert guidance. The event at Canvas, also introduced the guests to Most Imaginative Cocktail campaign – from September this year, Bombay Sapphire will embark on a six-month search for what’s essentially the Most Imaginative Cocktail campaign.

Bombay Sapphire will visit a bar each month and taste two new original Bombay Sapphire gin-based cocktails. During these tasting, cocktail lovers are invited to join in the party to caste their vote. At the end of the hunt, the winning cocktail will be honored at a Bombay Sapphire-styled party in March, 2015.

“Imagination has always been the heart and spirit of Bombay Sapphire and through this campaign, we hope to inspire imagination in others via the creation of new imaginative gin cocktails and honour the best originally crafted cocktails from Singapore,” says Henrik Resurreccion, Brand Manager for Bombay Sapphire.
