The Dalmore unveils Limited Edition 21 and 30-year-old single malts

The Dalmore, perhaps the world’s most revered single malt, has unveiled two limited edition whiskies at Whisky Live 2015 – The Dalmore 21 and The Dalmore 30. With 8,000 bottles of The Dalmore 21 and only 888 bottles of The Dalmore 30 being produced, the two rare expressions will make exceptional gifts for whisky connoisseurs in this festive season.

“We want to close this extraordinary year with a bang, and we’re celebrating it with two whiskies that are testimony to our distillery’s history of producing outstanding whiskies. 2015 has been nothing short of wonderful, and The Dalmore 21 and 30 will make memorable presents to conclude this incredible year,” said Richard Paterson, Master Distiller of The Dalmore for the past 40 years.

Hand-selected from the famous Gonzalez Byass bodega in Jerez de la Frontera, the 21-year-old whisky is a choice gift for coming-of-age celebrations. Initially matured in American white oak, the liquor is then transferred into first-fill Matusalem oloroso sherry butts, where it spends a decade in the casks, for an outstanding finish. The 70cl bottle (42% ABV) is decorated with the iconic 12-point Royal Stag emblem and presented in a stunning hand-finished sliding box with a commanding presence when displayed either opened or closed. Retailing at £350 (S$760), The Dalmore 21 will mark an exceptional introduction to whiskies for the budding aficionado.

With just 888 bottles produced for the one-off global release, The Dalmore 30 is a must-have for any respectable whisky lover’s prized collection. Like The 21, The 30 was hand-sourced from Gonzalez Byass bodega as well, and drawn from Matusalem oloroso and Amoroso oloroso sherry butts. An assemblage of the finest aged stocks, the 70cl bottle (45% ABV) will be an essential addition for aficionados with impeccable taste in single malt.

Priced at £1,500 (S$3,256), The 30 bottle is decorated with The Dalmore’s iconic Stag head, engraved and wax-infilled with the expression details – the signature design details also found in previous rare bottle incarnations from the distillery. Each bottle will also be individually numbered, making the limited release an even more treasured collectable. Its display box is black lacquered with a piano finish and comes with a black velvet interior, complementing the sophisticated character of The 30.
