Wider Yachts Shows Off Plans for Spacious W125 at Miami Boat Show

Wider Yachts recently announced their plans for their Wider 125 superyacht at the Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami. With a tagline of “Never Enough,” the company spent over a year researching and designing the ideal vessel for yacht owners. The all-aluminum displacement yacht was conceived by designer Fulvio De Simoni, the mind behind the W150 and W165, ensuring that the new superyacht maintains the same style (and diesel electric technology) as the rest of the range.

Just like in the previous models, the control room can be found in the bow so that there’s more room in the aft for four spacious staterooms (which are much larger than those typically found on vessels of this size). There are three twin crew cabins, while a larger one near the wheelhouse is reserved for the captain. And finally, the master stateroom is found on the main deck, complete with a study and a large terrace. Speaking of the main deck, thanks to the 26-foot beam, its saloon is “remarkably airy and light, with floor to ceiling windows on either side.”

Since different regions tend to gravitate towards different layouts, the galley is available in two different areas. The US version positions the galley on the main deck and leaves room on the lower deck for a gym. The UK version puts it on the lower deck and gives the option of splitting the master stateroom in order to give room for kids and a nanny.

Of course, a yacht of this size has tons of room for tender storage, as well as two jet skis. Wider Yachts is expecting the W125 to have a range of 2,600 nautical miles at 12 knots (3,600nm at the speed of 10 knots) and a top speed of 14.
